As you'll recall, Henry was born on Oct 3, 2012 to Miss Georgia Peach. But he's not the only pup in this story. He was one of
six healthy puppies, half of whom are deaf.

On January 9th, I learned that one puppy in the litter was still looking for a forever home. D.D. (Raja) was the last of the puppies, still searching for a family--- Kim did a
fantastic job with the puppies, but it was time for D.D. to be a big girl with a family all to herself. She was gorgeous and sweet and full of spirit just like her brother. She also is hearing impaired, and thus a challenging pup to raise and train.
If you'll allow me to digress for a moment... I've always considered myself very lucky to be surrounded with people who love and will do anything for their pets--- having working in shelters and emergency medicine, I can definitely attest that this is not always the case. But
my people will do what it takes to make sure their pets are more than "just dogs" and "just cats." My people treat their pets like family. I'm very, very proud of that.
Into the picture comes an old friend ZoeAnne. ZoeAnne was ready to add to her family and D.D. (now named Raja) was the perfect fit! Raja went home, got a big mushy boxer for a brother, and got an awesome mom! And Henry and I got the privilege of being able to see his sister grow up into a beautiful, well-loved pup.
Here's to brother-sister play dates and many years of comparing notes and swapping stories!
Now, who wouldn't like to start their afternoon with some baby pictures?
